My work found its way to gallery space walls for the first time in 2009... and these first two opportunities were both in the Washington DC area.

The first exhibit was at MetroStage Theatre in Alexandria, Virginia. The theme was derived from the show playing while I exhibited... Musical of Musicals, the Musical. The show tells the same story in the style of five different legendary Broadway composers (or teams). So I caricatured Jerry Herman, John Kander & Fred Ebb, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II, and Stephen Sondheim. And additional pieces hovered around the central theme as well.

Soon after the MetroStage show, I created an exhibit for Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia. The display featured images of shows over their twenty years in existence. On the right is my composite image of the whole exhibit, and below is a sampling of the included pieces...
